So I just joined up with this thing called HubPages, where you can make pocket money with your writings. It's acutally legit, and doesn't pretend to be a place where you make $8000 a month or anything. Anywho, if you felt like helping me out and just clicking on the links a few times, it would help my ratings go up and therefore get more legitimate hits. If you really wanted to be awesome, you could click on the advertising links, but not really if you don't want to. Anywho, here are the first ones I put up. They aren't very good, I just wanted something up so that I could apply for Google AdShare, which hopefully will come through in a day or so.

Today was a Pretty Day. Yes, it was lovely outside, but what I really mean is that today I was pretty. You know how some days you know you look good, and some days you know you look like total crud no matter what you do? I've had a few of the cruddy days recently, but today was a pretty day. And evidently I wasn't the only one who thought so- I had several different girls tell me how pretty I was today. Good times.

I really want it to flood here. Apparently lower campus, which is where all of the first years live, floods something terrible when it rains, particularly in the area around my dorm. But, I'm on the third floor, so I won't be inconvenienced, and people go tubing on inflatable furniture on the first floor. Plus all of the rain would be terribly fun.

Random pop culture reference: I was extremely surprised when Clay Aiken came out the other day. Not surprised that he was gay, but that evidently he hadn't already come out...? I mean, it was pretty dang obvious. I thought it was accepted fact. Well, learn something new every day, even at college.
Which brings me to the whole classes-homework thing. Who came up with the silly idea of having that at college? Don't get me wrong, I love all of my classes, but the whole schedule-obligation thing? Yeck, who needs it? Just adds stress, though I'm sure I would know significantly less Latin without the constant hw, though I'm sure I would know some. But there is just so much to do and not enough time! I'm taking 16 hours a week, plus working an additional 10, which is only a little over a seventh of my week that is not my own, but then add in sleep, and right there we are closing in on half of my time that is not my own. And then they have the nerve to add hw?? If I do the amount all of the books say, two hours outside class for every one in class, that would be 3/7 days that I am entirely immersed in school. Then add sleep, and it is amazing I can manage to work out and spend time alone and socialize all in one week. But I'm ranting for no real end. I love college.

Had a great sort of roommate-bonding experience last night. Ellen had a really important paper due, and she had written about half of it and stagnated. I ended up spending almost three hours with her (keep in mind we started this after midnight) working out the second half with her, finding quotes and making connections and helping her talk through ideas and word things better. It was pretty spiffy. And then we spent about 30 minutes discussing boy drama, which neither of us are really used to dealing with but she suddenly finds herself in the middle of. Judging from a few conversations with other people, she apparently was praising me today for doing all of that. In addition, spend almost 2 hours in the little alcove-esque thing next to my room with her and another girl, Alyssa (from Sammamish!), chatting about everything under the sun, though generally with a happy/girly bent. Different boys wandered in and out, but it was basically a girl party in the hallway after midnight. Good times.

There is so much more to tell, but I have two monologues to write and then some sleeping to do, so I'll have to finish filling you in later. Ciao!!
